It’s important to get it right because it determines your strategy.
Nathan Barry hits the nail on the head here as he lays out his 6 part plan for starting an MVP email list.
In fact its the exact strategy he used to create his paid email course that made him $56k last year.
Every professional should start an email list, but not everyone should write a weekly newsletter.

At the risk of sounding like an optimizer-junkie…
Don’t make a lead magnet before you TEST a few different lead magnet ideas to see what people want first.
Here’s a test I ran this week and the winner is clear.
I was so close to making the one that came 3rd so I’m happy I spent $38 to save myself a few hours of time.
Note: this test was extremely simple. I didn’t make the lead magnet and the landing page is basic AF.
